My name is Hanna, and I was born in 1987 – right in the heart of a generation now infamously dubbed “the millennials”.
You’ve read the articles about us and you’ve heard the stereotypes. But I want to give you a different side of the story, of a young, relatively laid-pack person with a good heart who is just trying to carve out a place in this crazy changing world.
The Millennial Next Door is the story of my journey to live a meaningful adulthood with purpose, passion, and mindfulness. Here I chronicle my adventures as an avid runner, a young professional in the great city of Milwaukee, a 20-something striving for a greater sense of simplicity and mindfulness, and a community servant trying to help others and make my world a better place…one bit of kindness at a time.
I’ve loved to write my entire life. It has always been a dream of mine to be a writer. I have the tools to do that, so I finally decided to just pull the trigger. I may not ever be successful or popular as a blogger, but at the end of the year or the end of my life I can look back and say, I went for it.
I am a tshirt-and-jeans kinda gal, I am an athlete, I am a friendly introvert, I am a volunteer, I am a friend, a girlfriend, a sister, and a daughter.
I am the millennial next door.
